How a job gets in
- Paste the posting's link. The title, company and requirements are read off the page.
- Or add it by hand, if the posting is somewhere that cannot be linked.
- Or forward it from Telegram, when you find it on your phone and do not want to lose it.
From there you can tailor a CV and cover letter for that specific job from your master profile, and both stay attached to the application. That part is what the rest of the product does.
Why not a spreadsheet
A spreadsheet tracks that you applied. It does not hold the CV you sent, it cannot tell you how well you matched the posting, and it will not tell you when somebody opened your CV link. Those three are the difference here — the tracker is attached to the documents, because the same profile produced them.

Is the tracker free?
Yes — unlimited application tracking for 90 days on the free plan, no card required. Paid access keeps the tracker open for one or two years and adds CV credits; see pricing.
Is there a subscription?
No. Access is bought once as a fixed term, or as credit packs that do not expire. Nothing recurs.
Do I have to use the CV tailoring to use the tracker?
No. You can track applications on their own. The tailoring is there when you want it, and one tailored CV is included free.
Who is behind it?
One developer, in Switzerland. The contact form and info@getcvai.com reach the same person. Generating a CV sends your CV content to Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude) through a self-hosted gateway; that is set out in the privacy policy.
